Loving My Neighbor
The world says, “Stand your ground. Get even. Protect what’s yours.” But Jesus invites me into something radical: don’t retaliate, go the extra mile, give more than what’s fair, and answer offense with mercy. He’s not asking me to be passive—He’s asking me to be powerful in love. This kind of love disarms hate, breaks cycles of revenge, and quietly reflects the heart of a Savior who turned the other cheek… all the way to the cross for me!
Righteousness
July 31, 2025
Righteousness is not performing for God but being transformed by Him. The Pharisees lived righteous on the outside, but Jesus pulls back the curtain and looks within.
Salt Light

I am changed from the inside out. But what I do is radically changed.
Persecution
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me.
Even as He shapes a heart of peace, Jesus prepares me
for the reality that living for Him won’t always be easy.
Peacemaking
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me. After purity, Jesus invites me to become a peacemaker — a living reflection of His reconciling love.
Purity of Heart
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me. After mercy, Jesus calls me deeper — to a pure heart.
Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me. Could meekness really be that important?
Poverty of Spirit
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me. Where does Jesus start in reshaping my life?
Update from Bob Snyder for Lessons Learned on the Journey
For over 25 years, I’ve had the joy (and at times struggle) of writing this weekly reflection on life, faith, and all the ways I’ve managed by God’s grace to grow in my faith walk with Jesus.
