Persecution

The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me.

Even as He shapes a heart of peace, Jesus prepares me

for the reality that living for Him won’t always be easy.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom heaven.

– Matthew 5:10

Following Jesus wholeheartedly will sometimes invite misunderstanding, rejection, and even suffering. Being persecuted "because of righteousness" means facing hardship simply because I’m choosing to walk His way.

As Christ reshapes my heart, He gives me courage to keep loving, keep standing, and keep hoping — even when it costs something. I remember that I’m never alone, and that His Kingdom is worth more than any earthly treasure.

Oh, the unshakable hope of knowing that no suffering can steal what Jesus has secured for me.

What if… I asked Jesus today for the courage to live boldly for Him — even when it’s hard, even when it’s costly — trusting that His Kingdom is worth it? Let’s do it together.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
