Equipping and mobilizing Christian healthcare workers as witnesses of the love and reality of Jesus at the bedsides and in the clinics where they work.

The Saline Process Difference

The Saline Process Healthcare witness training process:

  • Transforms believers into intentional witnesses—to be a witness rather than to witness.

  • Recognizes that the transformation of a skeptic to a believer is a journey.

  • Celebrates people taking even the smallest step toward Jesus.

  • Focuses on guiding principles and tools, not a specific method.

  • Works in synergy with other tools and church or ministry programs.

  • Becomes an overflow of God’s work through us, not personally overwhelming.

  • Shifts the paradigm of sharing Jesus to being process-oriented, being faithful in the short or long moments with people and leaving the results to God.

  • Recognizes that cultivating and sowing is the hard work that is essential to harvest.

  • Cultivates a vision and an identity as a witness for Jesus which, in turn, inspires living as a witness.

Why the name Saline

Healthcare workers often give their patients intravenous saline at 0.9%. If the level of salt is more than 0.9%, it might harm the patient. If the level of salt is less than 0.9%, it may not be beneficial. The solution should not be too salty or not salty enough, but just right...

So it is with sharing Jesus…

Christian Healthcare Workers Learn to:

  • Cover their patients and colleagues with personal and team prayer.

  • Take spiritual histories along with medical histories.

  • Discern an individual’s barriers to faith in Jesus.

  • Pray with patients and their families.

  • Plant Faith Flags that can lead to conversation about Jesus.

  • Tell personal Faith Stories that connect with the patient’s circumstance.

  • Give Truth Prescriptions: words of Scripture to comfort and speak truth.

  • Encourage people to consider a decision to follow Jesus.

  • Give a patient the opportunity to trust in Jesus.

  • Build a Spiritual Referral Team and refer patients to the team and local churches.

  • ALL WITH PERMISSION, SENSITIVITY AND RESPECT.

Upon discharging mothers from the wards after deliveries, they bring their babies to me to bless them. [Since I have been trained as a Saline Process witness] I take the babies in my arms and then ask permission from the mothers to pray for their babies in JESUS’ name. None of them have objected. I am thankful to the Lord for giving me such opportunities every day.
