Way of Praying
Because the Beatitudes have taught me to come to God poor in spirit, Jesus now teaches me how to pray with childlike confidence and kingdom-centered trust. He doesn’t give me a script to recite mindlessly—He gives me a model for deep, relational prayer.
This, then, is how you should pray:
'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name...'
Matthew 6:9 NIV
It starts not with my needs, but with my Father—His name, His kingdom, His will. Then it moves to daily dependence: give us bread, forgive us, lead us, deliver us. It’s intimate and reverent, bold and humble.
And it reminds me that prayer isn’t about getting what I want—it’s about aligning my heart with the heart of God. Being salt and light flows from this kind of prayerful posture. When I pray like Jesus taught, I remember who I belong to, who provides for me, and who leads me in love.
What if…the Lord’s Prayer became less of a recitation and more of a living rhythm in my day? What if it shaped my tone, my trust, my priorities? That’s what Jesus offers—a way of praying that draws me deeper into His heart and sends me out shining with His love. Let’s pray that way—together.
Sharing the journey with you,
