Righteousness
Because the Beatitudes shape my heart and salt and light shape my witness— Jesus redefines what righteousness truly means.
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20
Righteousness is not performing for God but being transformed by Him.
The Pharisees lived righteous on the outside, but Jesus pulls back the curtain and looks within.
He blesses when I am poor in spirit, meek, and merciful—not proud, polished, or performance-driven. True righteousness doesn’t come from rule-keeping but from my softened-by-grace heart.
Righteousness is not just personal—it’s powerful and purposeful. When I live this out—when I forgive instead of fight, speak truth without manipulation, and love even those who hurt me—I become salt in a world that’s rotting, and light in a world that’s groping for hope. Jesus isn’t forming rule-followers; He’s forming a visible community of righteousness that shows the world what God is really like.
What if…my righteousness wasn't something I did, but something God produced in me as I walk in step with His Spirit? Let’s live that kind of life together.
Sharing the journey with you,
