LIGHT
Because the Beatitudes change me—becoming LIGHT is a visible expression of who I am in Christ.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14–16
Jesus said I am the light of the world—not because I shine on my own, but because His light now shines through me. When I walk in purity, peace, and mercy, my life becomes a living lampstand—giving light to others who do not realize they need Jesus. Light reveals what’s real. It brings comfort, clarity, and direction. And it can’t help but be seen. When the love of Jesus fills me, his love shines through me—and people take notice.
Being light means I don’t hide the change Christ has made in me. It means living openly, honestly, and joyfully. It means letting my good deeds point to a good God. The light isn’t about drawing attention to myself—it’s about reflecting the One who rescued me. What if I let that light shine more boldly in my home, my neighborhood, my workplace? Not with pride, but with humility. The visible becomes undeniable. That’s the invitation. That’s the calling.
What if…my life illuminated the goodness of God simply by reflecting who He is in me?
Let’s shine, together.
Sharing the journey with you,
