Perfection

Because the Beatitudes have changed the posture of my heart, Jesus now shows me what true righteousness looks like—not a checklist of rules, but a life shaped by love.

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect Matthew 5:48 NIV

From blessing the poor in spirit to loving my enemies, Matthew 5 isn’t just a list of teachings—it’s a vision of who I’m becoming in Christ. Jesus doesn’t lower the bar—He raises it. Not to crush me, but to call me higher. This kind of righteousness surpasses the Pharisees—not because it’s louder or stricter, but because it’s deeper and truer. It starts in the heart and flows out into every relationship and decision.
Being salt and light means I carry this transformed heart into a broken world—not as a performance, but as a witness. It means I respond to anger with peace, temptation with purity, insult with kindness, and need with generosity. And at the center of it all is love—love that flows from the Father and spills into my everyday life.

What if...Matthew 5 isn’t a burden to bear, but a picture of the beautiful life Jesus is forming in me? That’s the journey we’re on. Let’s walk it—together.
