Building on the Rock

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice
is like a wise man who built his house on the rock…

  Matthew 7:24-25 NIV

Because the Beatitudes have formed a new heart in me, and Jesus has shown me what true righteousness looks like, He now brings me to a simple but life-defining question: Will I live what I’ve heard?

It’s not enough to admire His words—I must build my life on them. Storms will come, and winds will blow, but the difference between collapse and endurance is not what I know—it’s what I do. Jesus isn’t offering religious inspiration—He’s offering a solid foundation. And the only way for me to stand strong is to trust and obey Him fully.

Being salt and light means more than agreeing with Jesus—it means following Him, daily, in real decisions, real relationships, and real sacrifice. The wise builder isn’t perfect, but they keep showing up, keep trusting, and keep putting truth into action.

What if…I treated every word from Jesus like rock under my feet—reliable, unshakable, worth building everything on? What if my life became a steady testimony to the power of a well-built foundation?

That’s the life that weathers every storm. Let’s build on the rock—together.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
