Bearing Good Fruit
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves… Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 7:15, 20 NIV
Because the Beatitudes have taught me to value purity of heart and mercy, Jesus now teaches me to be wise and discerning.
Some may look like sheep but act like wolves—appearing helpful while leading hearts astray. Jesus says the test is simple: look at the fruit. Does their life produce love, humility, righteousness, and peace? Or does it bring confusion, control, pride, or fear? He’s not telling me to live suspiciously—He’s inviting me to walk alert, rooted in truth, and anchored in His Word.
Being salt and light means I reflect what is real and good—and I recognize what is false and harmful. In a world full of spiritual noise and competing messages, Jesus reminds me that fruit tells the story.
What if... I became the kind of person who not only discerned good fruit in others but also bore good fruit myself—consistently, quietly, over time? That’s how people see the reality of Christ in me. Let’s walk in truth—and bear fruit—together.
