The Salt & Light Process™ Witness Training is a transformational, biblically-based program focused on equipping and mobilizing all believers as intentional witnesses for Jesus in their local contexts.
What is The Salt & Light Process™?
During the training, witnesses learn to discern where people are on the journey to faith in Jesus, recognizing and addressing spiritual barriers. They learn that each person is on a journey to faith.
Rather than making conversion the only goal, the Salt & Light Process™ aims to move a person one or more steps closer to faith in Jesus. Witnesses are equipped with practical tools to break down spiritual barriers in order to guide others to Jesus.
Why We Do The Salt & Light Process™ :
The Problem
Christians don’t feel equipped to share their faith.
Research confirms that only have of Christians report sharing the Gospel even just once per year, even if they feel a responsibility to do so.
While most have said that fear keeps them from sharing their faith, one study indicates that 10% of those who don’t share their faith don’t feel equipped.
The Solution
The Salt & Light Process™ Witness Training answers this problem with a process-oriented approach.
Once they complete the training, witnesses are equipped for opportunities to point people to Jesus in everyday life, always with permission, sensitivity, and respect.
As they sow, they learn to trust God for the harvest, realizing that a journey to faith is often a slow process. The job of a witness is to be faithful, trusting God for the growth.

Why the name “Salt & Light”?
In Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus refers to believers as both “the salt of the Earth” and “the light of the world.” In the ancient world, salt was incredibly valuable to keep food from spoiling, preserving life by enabling the hungry to eat. Jesus calls believers “Salt” because they lead people to eternal life by being His witnesses.
Jesus calls believers light because light helps people see clearly. As witnesses, believers shine the light of Christ to others, so that they can see Him clearly.
With the Salt & Light Process™, believers are equipped to be both Salt and Light as witnesses to the hope of Jesus.

Several years ago, an organization requested that we produce a version of the Saline Process™ Witness Training for all believers, rather than only healthcare workers. Taking the same basic content from the Saline Process™, the Salt & Light Process™ was adapted as a witness training program for all believers.
