When Trouble Comes

“…call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” Psalm 50:15 NIV

When trouble comes, I tend to trust in myself or those around me for deliverance. Although I may find the answers I need, I often end up feeling frustrated and angry. My mentor in Hungary, Jenő Barátossy, often said to me: “When trouble comes, look for God.”  

Jenő experienced trouble and persecution in World War II and communist Hungary, yet he remained confident in God’s deliverance.
