Spiritual Plagiarism

“All things were created in him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers, and authorities. All things have been created by him and for him.” Colossians 1:16 NIRV

When I was in school, I learned about plagiarism—the act of stealing a person’s work and passing it off as my own. Although I never plagiarized in school, I far too often commit “spiritual plagiarism,” living like my life was created by me and for me. This way of thinking results in selfishness and greed. How do I change?

As I focus on Jesus, my paradigm shifts. No longer is my life my own; instead, I realize with more clarity that I was created by Him and for Him.

Will you join me this week in crediting Jesus for our lives?

Sharing the journey with you,
