Salt Light

Because the Beatitudes change who I am—not just what I do,

I am changed from the inside out.  But what I do is radically changed.

You are the salt of the earth….You are the light of the world…

Mathew 3:13-16

 When I am poor in spirit, mourn over sin, walk in meekness, hunger for righteousness, and extend mercy — I reflect the heart of Jesus. My life will become a quiet but unmistakable witness. The world sees something different—something it longs for, even if it doesn’t fully understand it.

As the Beatitudes begin to transform my life,

      -   I become the salt of the earth, preserving what is good, bringing flavor and healing to a world

          in desperate need.

      -  I become the light of the world bringing truth and clarity into a world that is dark and decaying.

          How amazing to be changed from the inside out!

What if…I become salt and light where I live, work and play?  Could my life preserve and reveal—making the invisible Christ visible. Let’s do it together.
