Giving Thanks

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34 NIV

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

Possessing a grateful heart is important! When I am slow to give thanks, I am often quick to ask for more. In these moments, a mindset of entitlement can get the better of me. My eyes can focus on what I lack rather than on what I have, and I end up bitter.

Thankfulness reminds me of the truth—in Christ, I have all that I need.
