Honey or Vinegar

Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24 NLT

One morning, I spilled a cup of coffee onto a clean store counter. I felt so embarrassed. The manager approached me, and I started to apologize, but his disarming smile and positive humor reassured me that everything was alright. I am now a regular at that store.

In frustrating circumstances, my mind is often so focused on correcting the problems at hand that my words are harsh and bitter. But kind words reflect the love of Christ.
