Don’t Run Out of Gas

....I kneel before the Father...I pray that out of his glorious riches he may
strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people,
to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—
that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Slow down Bob! At times, I say to myself, “I just don’t have enough time to pray, read God’s Word, meditate and listen to Him.” Sometimes I feel as though my soul is an empty gas tank. I pull up to the gas pump, but I think I only have time to fill my spiritual gas tank 1/10th full. Why? Because I think I am so busy! Is it any wonder my spiritual tank is not full?
God has slowed me down a bit with a worldwide health crisis. Now the questions are, will I fill my tank with excessive Covid-19 news, or will I take time to “fill up on Jesus”?
