Delighting in obedience

A children’s pastor once said “obedience is doing exactly what I am told, immediately, with a happy heart”—not only obey, but with a happy heart!
 

I must say that sometimes my heart is not happy when I obey the commands of the Lord. Yet, here it is in scripture,

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands. Psalm 112:1 NIV
 

So I must ask myself, “What is the condition of my heart in obedience? Am I delighting in obedience?”
