No Shame in God’s Kingdom

No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame... Psalm 25:3 NIV

Shame is a powerful, painful emotion in my moments of failure. My thought process in shame is self-focused and involves all of me. Often I respond by blaming others or expressing anger. I want a sense of control and superiority in my life.

God’s kingdom is different. There is no shame. But how can that be in world full of sin and brokenness? How can I look at myself and have peace? The Psalmist has the answer,

Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Psalm 34:5 NIV

Through the eyes of God’s redeeming love, there is hope for me—no shame. Praise God. Rather than finding our identity in our sin and brokenness, this week join me in finding our identity in Christ alone.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
