Don't Leave Me

Before his arrest, Jesus shares with His disciples that He will soon “leave” them and go to the Father to prepare a place for them. Yet He who had feed them, guided them, and guarded them promised to not leave them alone.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. John 14:16-17 NIV

This Holy Week I am reminded of the life I could not live and the death that I deserved. Christ came to live and die in my stead. But amazingly He did not leave me alone. He left His presence in the person of the Holy Spirit who now feeds, guides and protects me.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  John 14:27 NIV

Join me with the deepest gratitude – He did not leave us alone.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
