Spiritual Capital

Heading up a not-for-profit organization like International Health Services (IHS) is always a financial challenge. I do not personally possess the necessary capital to fund the work and the expanding ministry. One of the greatest risks of any ministry or business is undercapitalization. Finding those who believe in the work of IHS and who feel lead by God to give is always a priority in my work. Sufficient capital creates an atmosphere in which the ministry can succeed.

Just as business and ministry need sufficient capital, my spiritual life does as well. I do not personally possess the resources necessary to be a godly man. One of the greatest risks for my spiritual life is not accessing the spiritual capital available to me. At times, I seem spiritually bankrupt and thus unable to successfully navigate life in the way God intended.

The Apostle Peter was a man like me in many ways - prone to seek the insufficient spiritual capital in his own resources. Thankfully, Peter learned of a Spiritual Venture Capitalist available to meet all his spiritual needs. Peter's life was transformed. He said,

His [God's] divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3 NIV)

The capital is already in the spiritual bank account. Will you join me in withdrawing liberally?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
