My Wants vs His

Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NIV 

I want a lot in life. Yet, I do not have everything I want. What is the problem? Doesn’t Jesus promise to give me whatever I ask for? 

Over the years, I have begun to see how selfish my requests can be. Often, what I want is not actually for my good. But when I ask for what God wants for me, I am given exactly what I need. 

Will you join me this week in asking God to give us what He wants and in His timing?
