Come

“Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” Revelation 22:17b (emphasis added)

God invites me to be with Him. He wants me to know Him well.

Adam and Eve knew God well. But when sin got in the way, they did not draw near to God, but hid from Him. When I realize my own sin, I sometimes try to hide from God as well.

However, when I choose to “come,” God offers me:

  • Rest (Matthew 11:28-30)

  • Life (John 5:40)

  • Heritage as child of God – a member of His family (John 1:12)

  • Joy and Refreshment (Romans 15:32)

  • His listening ear (Jeremiah 29:12)

  • Forgiveness of sins (Isaiah 1:18)

And He offers so much more. Will you join me this week in “coming” to Jesus and receiving the water of life?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
