What Do I Want Fixed?

If you tore away my façade—what you see on the surface—what would you observe? Brokenness, sin, and heartache. If you listened to my prayers, you might at times hear that my words are all about me. My prayers are often filled with “fix my broken life”, “fix my difficult life circumstances” and “fix my heartache”.

However, that is not why Jesus came to earth—to fix my circumstances. Jesus came to transform me into his image and change my heart from a rebellious Bob to a surrendered Bob.

When I focus my attention on changing my circumstances, anxiety and fear predominate. When I allow God to renew my heart and mind, contentment, joy and peace result. Join me in a surrender that yields a rest for our weary souls.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matt. 11:29-30 NIV

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
