Struggles on the Journey – Lack of Joy

The intent of God is that I live a life of relentless joy. However, I often find myself living inside the story of my circumstances rather than God’s reality. The result is a lack of joy sometimes triggering anxiety and fear.

The remedy? David tells me the cure is found living in the presence of God not in the fixing of my circumstances. 

You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your [God’s] right hand. Psalm 16:11

When I live out God’s drama, trusting in His process and living in His presence I find joy. The end result? Eternal pleasures.
