Full of Myself vs Full of God

I desperately want to be a man after God's own heart. Early in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand and my Bible in my lap it all seems so possible. However, sometimes my day begins with harsh words, hurt feelings...and I haven't even left house yet! By noon I just want to give up. It is all too hard.

Would the apostle Paul want me to, become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13 NIV), if it were not possible? Am I missing something? Yes I am! How can I be filled with Christ if I am still full of myself?

There is no hope unless I allow God to pour all of me out! However, I have to ask, “Do I really want him to empty me? I must not sit on the fence anymore.

Will you join me in permitting God to empty us so that we can be filled with the fullness of Christ? Oh, what a joy!

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
