Forgetfulness

To-do lists litter my desk as I struggle against forgetfulness. Remembering is a challenge—even more so the older I get. God tells me to remember Him, yet I can so easily forget.

Scripture says to remember Him, His covenant, and His Word more than 200 times.

…be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Deuteronomy 6:12 NIV

Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. Isaiah 46:9 NIV

Just like the children of Israel, I am prone to forget the goodness and mercies of God. I need a reminder to remember!  Should I put “remember God’s faithfulness” on my to-do list?  It may not be an altar of stones but anything that helps me to remember is good.

Will you join me in including “remember God’s faithfulness” on our to-do lists today?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
