Interruptions

We all know that people are more important than projects. Yet, I can easily get focused on a strategic plan and begin to lose sight of people.

Jesus always allowed people to interrupt Him.

  • People with medical problems (Mark 5:25-34)
Children who needed defending (Mark 10:13-16)
A criminal on the cross next to Him (Luke 23:39-43)
He knew their value—created by Him in the image of God. What value!
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:26-27 NIV

As I think of my workdays, in the office or at home, my attitude sometimes fails me, and I start to feel that people are "getting in the way" of my agenda, plans, and projects.

Will you join me this week in valuing people over projects and letting them interrupt our plans?

Why? Because they are valuable!

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
