How Long Do I Have to Live?

How long do I have to live?” As a medical doctor, patients sometimes asked this question. I did not have the answer but always tried to share hope with them.

However, the Psalmist has the answer,

Show me, O Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreath; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath. Psalm 39:4-6

 

Length of life is measured differently when eternity is the standard.
