Decisions Made in Fear

Often my life seems to mirror those of Jesus’ disciples—rowing in a boat against a storm. The storms of life—physical, relational, financial, work issues—so consume me that I am often filled with fear. My judgment (decision making) in the midst of fear is often seriously flawed.

Too often I just choose to row harder against the storm. In moments of clarity, I remember that the storm was not calmed until Jesus stepped into the disciples' boat. (Matthew 14:22-33)

And just as He said to the disciples, Jesus says to me,

Don't be afraid.

Take courage, I am here. Matthew 14:27 NLT

When I invite Him into my boat my fears are relieved.

Will you join me in inviting Jesus into our boats in the midst of our storms so that we can make our decisions based on faith and not fear

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
