Living in Community

Loving God is easier for me early in the morning alone with Him. In fact, sitting in my comfortable chair reading His Word in the quiet of day, sainthood seems attainable. However, later in the day as pressures mount loving others becomes much more difficult.

Loving my wife, Pamela, is easy at 4 am but becomes a more significant challenge at 4 pm. Loving my friends and colleagues – not so easy as the day goes on. Yet Jesus tells me that radically loving is the true measure of my commitment to follow Him.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.(John 13:35 NIV)

It is in loving, caring and serving others in community that my faith is tested and made strong. Will you join me in living out the love of Christ not only on Sundays or in our time alone with God, but also in the brokenness of daily living?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
