Struggles on the Journey – A Heart of Thanksgiving

At times, I followed my mother’s instructions begrudgingly when she would say, “Bob, you must write a thank you note.”  Sometimes I did not have a grateful heart, but I would write my thank you note anyway.  Of course, my mother desired that my expressions of thanks be from the heart.

God delights in receiving heartfelt gratitude.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  (Colossians 3:16-17)

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States - full of food, family and fun. Join me in proclaiming our sincere gratitude to God around the dining room table.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
