THE IHS Story

One of the many challenges during the 20 years of practicing emergency medicine was consistently providing a faithful witness for Christ. It was not easy and I often failed. Yet Jesus said to his disciples ... you will be my witnesses ... (Acts 1:8).

Being a good witness for Christ at church—not so challenging.
Being a good witness for Christ at the hospital—challenging!

Yet I spent 20–30 times more hours per week in the hospital than I did in the church. I was equipped to practice medicine. I wasn't equipped to be a witness. Since I left clinical medicine 18 years ago, my life's work has been teaching my fellow Christian healthcare workers around the world some of the lessons I have learned about being a witness in the workplace.

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
