Tomorrow

 I was in Delhi, India and my wife, Pamela, was home in Pennsylvania. Our telephone conversation started with "It is 6 am Saturday morning, what time is it for you?" She answered "It is 7:30 pm Friday night." Suddenly I realized that I was in her future, so I replied, "Please come and join me in the future - I long to be with you."

God says the same thing, "I am in your future and I long to be with you." God assured Joshua that He (God) is in his future.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 NIV) 

I, like Joshua, am often afraid of tomorrow. But God says, "Don't be afraid, Bob; I am in the future now for I live outside of time and space. And I promise to be there when you arrive."

Join me this week in saying with King David,

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
