Make Sure to Read the Abstract
As a physician, the reading of scientific journals is a normal part of my job. The articles tend to be long and poorly written making the job of reading them tedious. Thankfully, at the beginning of each article is an abstract. An abstract is a brief summary of the most important points in a scientific paper. Abstracts enable me to stay current with the huge volume of scientific literature.
In recent months, a group of men that I meet with each Friday morning has been studying the book of Ecclesiastes – a challenging book to say the least. However, the book of Ecclesiastes has an abstract as well. It is found in Ecclesiastes 12:13.
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
Now I have the challenge of putting these words into practice. Will you join me this week?
Sharing the journey with you,
