Staying Connected

"Where did I lose you?" Oh, the frustration of another dropped mobile telephone call! In spite of the promises of my cell phone company, it does not take more than a turn in the road on Paoli Pike for me to lose the person on the other end of the phone. Oh my………again!!

Staying connected to God is no less a challenge for me and obviously more important. Many different factors seem to affect my ability to hear God's voice:

  • Interference -- the static of my own selfish voice often drowns out the voice of God
  • Solicitation calls -- the voices of the world offer much that distracts me from the voice of God
  • Dead zones -- those times and places where the voice of God seems so distant

How can I stay connected to God? God cared so much about being connected to me that he provided perfect access – the work of Jesus and the presence of the Spirit. The apostle Paul tells me,

For through him [Jesus] we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2:18 NIV

Will you join me this week in accessing the communication system that has consistent complete connectivity?

Sharing the journey with you,

Bob Snyder
